iPhone SDK: no OpenGL on the simulator, need the 99$/year license key; not for europe yet!

As we delve into the SDK information and code, our first test made it clear that no OpenGL support is provided by the SDK simulator. As a consequence, the only way to test your 2D or 3D app is to upload it on an actual iPhone.
Developers need the 99USD-SDK key to do so. But one thing is that this key is currently only available to the US citizens; the rest of the world will have to wait more again. Apple does not give any availability date yet:
